College Scholarships

Our Mission:

As part of our Give Back Program, Murphy Law Firm has multiple scholarship programs to help Douglas County students succeed as they continue their education.

College Students

$500.00 SCHOLARSHIPS (3 Available)

This program provides educational scholarships to college students who have a financial need and have demonstrated scholastic achievement, and a dedication to community service. Three scholarships * are available for students living in Douglas County, GA, and who attend West Georgia Technical College and Georgia Highlands College.

Are you Eligible?

Eligibility
  • Student must be enrolled in a program of study leading to a certificate, diploma, or associate degree.
  • Student must have a minimum GPA of 2.0.
  • Student must be a Douglas County resident.
  • Student must be willing to have their name, photo, video of receiving the scholarship, and story published by Murphy Law Firm, LLC.
  • The student can use the scholarship money for tuition, fees, books, testing fees, supplies needed for program requirements related to school.
  • The scholarship will be maintained by the colleges, respectively.
  • Any unused scholarship award balances will be transferred back into the scholarship fund after one year of the award, or if the student withdraws from the College, or is not registered for (2) consecutive semesters. Those funds will be redistributed to another scholarship recipient.

West Georgia Technical College (WGTC) Scholarship:

Each year, WGTC receives $1000 to fund scholarships, up to two $500 scholarships each. Each scholarship will be given based on need, and during the time the scholarship foundation is open for applicants.

Georgia Highlands College (GHC) Scholarship:

Each year, GHC receives $500 to fund scholarships, and can cover several small scholarships (under $500), or one full $500 scholarship. Each scholarship will be given based on need, and during the time the scholarship foundation is open for applicants.
