Glenda Lang Killed in Fatal Georgia Car Accident
Last updated Wednesday, December 14th, 2022
A fatal car accident on Highway 441 on Sunday night claimed the life of Glenda Lang, 58, of Pearson.
According to law enforcement officials, the accident occurred around 5:30 p.m. near Harvey Vickers Road in Douglas, GA. Georgia State Patrol reports are not yet available. However, a reliable source says Lang’s vehicle was struck by a white pickup truck when a car ahead of it veered out of the lane.
Lang was transported to the Coffee Regional Medical center, where, unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries. A crash investigation is underway by the Georgia State Patrol, which has not yet identified the truck’s driver.
We extend our condolences to Glenda Lang’s family during this difficult time.
Georgia fatal car accident numbers continue to rise
The number of fatal collision lawsuits in Georgia has increased in recent years. A total of 331,796 car accidents were reported by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) in 2020. A tragically high number of 1,588 people lost their lives in those collisions.
The only way to reduce these kinds of accidents is to drive safely. Keeping a few basic safety guidelines in mind will help drivers avoid dangerous accidents that may seriously hurt them:
- Don’t drink and drive
- Be careful not to exceed the speed limit
- Keep a safe distance from trucks and other large vehicles
- Avoid using smartphones while driving
