Truck crash in Georgia I-285 leaves more than one injured

A truck crash in Georgia that was reported around the area of Covington Highway in Decatur on the morning of Tuesday, November 22 caused multiple injuries.
According to Georgia State Patrol officials, they received a call about an unfortunate wreck that happened just before 12:00 noon in the northbound section of I-285.
According to police, a blue tractor-trailer had a collision with one or more passenger vehicles in the area. Vehicles involved in the accident suffered severe damage as a result of the accident.
Firefighters and paramedics were immediately dispatched to the accident site to assist those in need. The collision resulted in injuries to one or more people. Injured victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment, but their conditions are currently undetermined.
The truck crash forced two right lanes of traffic to be blocked in the area for some time and officials urged motorists to use I-75 as an alternative.
A formal investigation of the accident is underway; no charges have been filed and the names of the injured have not yet been released by the police.
