Two-car crash in Georgia leaves many injured
Last updated Tuesday, December 6th, 2022
The Georgia State Patrol reported a two-car crash in Georgia at a major Atlanta junction on Sunday, December 4.
The collision that occurred at the Fulton Industrial Boulevard exit forced the shutdown of the westbound Interstate for about an hour.
The collision involved a large truck and another car, and at first, it seemed that there was also a third driver involved. There is still uncertainty, however, and further investigation will provide more information.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene at about 7:30 p.m.
Traffic congestion prevented most neighboring cars from reaching the highway, resulting in delays of 30 to 60 minutes. No other information has been provided by the police.
The injured victims are in our thoughts and prayers, and we wish them a speedy recovery.

Two-car crash in Georgia has become a common occurrence
Collisions between vehicles are probably the most common reason for car accident lawsuits in Georgia. Safe driving practices can prevent most potentially severe car accidents.
It is only a matter of following a few simple safety precautions that can help you prevent life-threatening injuries in accidents, including:
- Driving while drunk or high is never a good idea
- Make sure you don’t get distracted by music or your phone
- Always wear a seatbelt when driving
- Keep a safe distance from other cars
Highways in Georgia are no strangers to serious traffic accidents – the state ranks fourth nationally in terms of traffic fatalities in spite of being the 8th most populous state – 450 people died and 6,640 were injured in 4999 traffic accidents in 2020.
